Successful Development LP is using Amazon Elastic Cloud (Amazon EC2) services since early 2007. At present time the team is capable of performing the following operations on EC2:
- Running and managing EC2 Instances
- Bundling the custom OS image
- Saving & restoring the OS image
- Managing Security Groups & Firewall rules
- Elastic IPs
- Volumes and Snapshots
- Reserved Instances
with ec2-api command line tools. We are also familiar with EC2 API for JAVA
By now we worked with Linux OS images only.
We used them to keep the DB Data folder and other permanent content.
Our company used those to minimize the cost of permanently running instances for the cluster project.
The company has successful experience using the Amazon S3 services since 2007, for the following purposes:
* As backup for database dump & data
* As bakcup for log file
* As a storage for large-size content like images and other media files.
Our team has developed several Microsoft Word and Excel plugins to load and save files directly to S3 as a part of the project implemented for a start-up real estate company.
